"What you focus on multiplies. If you give your energy to lack, you will see more lack. If you give your energy to growth, you will see more growth."– Anmol Singh
Let’s set a foundation for this conversation. Your mind does not process a negative. When you are always thinking about “getting out of debt,” your mind hears “debt.” The universe hears “debt.” So the first principle I want you to adopt is this: focus on where you want to go, not on what you are running from.
Think about it. If someone says, “I do not want to be fat,” the mind holds onto “fat.” If someone says, “I do not want debt,” the mind locks onto “debt.” Make sense? That is why instead of saying, “I want to get out of debt,” it is far more powerful to say, “I want financial freedom. I want abundance.”
And here is the truth: abundance is everywhere. Look around you. Grass does not struggle to grow. A tree does not force itself to bear fruit. It just happens. Nature flows with ease, not resistance. The same principle applies to you. You are already capable of tapping into unlimited abundance, but the degree to which you struggle is the degree to which you are blocking that flow.
So, how do you create financial abundance? Start by recognizing that you already have it. Abundance is not something far away. It is already present in your life. The key is to notice it.
I once spoke with a man who told me, “I want to be successful.” I asked him what that meant. He said, “I want to grow my business and make more money.” So I asked, “Where are you already successful?” He looked at me puzzled, insisting he was not. But when I pressed further, he admitted he had a strong marriage, amazing kids, and the best health of his life. Isn’t that success? Meanwhile, the millionaire down the street with two luxury cars was going through a divorce and recovering from a heart attack. So I asked him, “Who is really more successful?”
The point is this: success and abundance show up in different forms. Maybe your “million dollars” right now is in your relationships, your health, your knowledge, or your experiences. Nothing is missing. It is just taking a different form.
Now, does that mean you cannot create financial wealth too? Absolutely not. You can have both. But the very first step is to acknowledge and be grateful for the abundance you already have. Gratitude is the gateway to receiving more.
When it comes to debt, here is what to do. Put a debt payoff plan in place and automate it. Then stop obsessing about it. Seriously. Forget about the debt and start putting all of your energy into wealth creation. One of my clients did this, and in less than three months, he tripled his income. Why? Because he shifted his focus from lack to growth.
So here is your action plan: automate your debt payoff, then put your creative energy into generating new income. Focus on building financial freedom, not escaping debt. And above all, be grateful for the abundance you already have, because the more you notice it, the more it will expand.
